The Safe Workplaces training module was created through the financial support of the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA), the Canada Media Fund (CMF) and Telefilm Canada, and developed in consultation with external legal counsel.

More information about each of these organizations can be found below.

The CMF fosters, develops, finances and promotes the production of Canadian content and applications for all audiovisual media platforms. The CMF guides Canadian content towards a competitive global environment by fostering industry innovation, rewarding success, enabling a diversity of voice and promoting access to content through public and private sector partnerships. The CMF receives financial contributions from the Government of Canada and Canada’s cable satellite and IPTV distributors.

Telefilm is dedicated to the cultural, commercial and industrial success of Canada’s audiovisual industry. Through funding and promotion programs, Telefilm supports dynamic companies and creative talent at home and around the world. Telefilm also makes recommendations regarding the certification of audiovisual treaty coproductions to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and administers the programs of the Canada Media Fund. Launched in 2012, the Talent Fund raises private donations to principally support emerging talent.

Telefilm Canada contributed to the funding of the Safe Workplaces training module. The content of this module represents the views and opinions of its creators and does not necessarily represent the policies or the views of Telefilm Canada, or of the Government of Canada.

The Canadian Media Producers Association is the national advocacy organization for independent producers, representing hundreds of companies engaged in the development, production, and distribution of English-language content made for television, cinema, and digital media channels. We work to promote the continued success of the Canadian production sector and to ensure a bright future for the diverse content made by our members for both domestic and international audiences.
